Post & Beam Log Cabins |
Luxurious Post and Beam Chalet Style Log Cabins.
Our new chalet style log cabins at Bella Coola Grizzly Tours and Adventure Resort provide all the comforts and serve as our basecamp for our wilderness expeditions. The chalets are set into the timber and are quite private and independent of each other.
Each chalet is beautifully finished in Aspen and has its own complete kitchenette with electric stove, oven, refrigerator and microwave. Each chalet has full bathroom facilities and hot showers so you can start fresh day or night.
Complimenting the beautiful chalet style of our accommodations, each log cabin has a charming, efficient old fashioned woodstove to keep the chill off at night and to compliment the ambience of the chalet. There is no better warmth than from a wood fire and the woodstove burns all night to keep you cozy and warm.

Sleigh Bed in Loft Bedroom |
Each chalet has a deluxe Queen size Sleigh bed and two double beds with fine linen. The banisters and hand rails are all in natural curved red and yellow cedar that we have beach combed from the fjords. The Panoramic view of the 8000 foot mountains is spectacular from the large covered sundeck on the front of the chalet. The large gable overhang keeps the deck dry and one can sit outside to enjoy the scenery and remain dry even if it is raining.

Bear and deer live around the resort, so at any time from the front or rear sundeck you could spot wildlife. On occasion a Grizzly or Black bear will wander up through the ferns and skunk cabbage of Fish Creek in search of a salmon. You can view them safely from the decks of your cabin.

The Gazebo |
Cedar Log Gazebo
Our huge 80 foot cedar log gazebo is one of the main attractions at the resort. It is a great socializing area no matter what the weather or time of year. The Lava Rock Firepit is always ablaze to provide warmth and a wood fire cooking platform. Everyone enjoys gathering around the fire with a Hot Drink discussing the days’ events and making big plans for the next adventure.
The Gazebo is complete with an Outdoor Kitchen and Bar, Satellite Radio for Tunes and lots of seating around the Firepit. It is our favorite spot to Barbeque Salmon and entertain and we cater to many functions in the Gazebo.

The Smokehouse & Garden |
Smokehouse
Our new Smokehouse is used to process and smoke the Wild Salmon and Seafood we catch. See first hand how we use Alder Smoke to cure and air dry the fish and learn how to dress, salt and smoke fish yourself. We will be happy to Cold Smoke your salmon for you and teach you what we have learned about Smoking Salmon. Everybody enjoys eating Smoked Salmon and they say there are few foods that are better for you than Wild Pacific Salmon.
Pacific Spot Prawns and Dungeness Crabs are a big part of our Seafood harvest on our multi-day tours and after your Ocean Charter we boil up the daily catch of Prawns and Crabs for you at the Smokehouse. Fortunately the Bella Coola waters grow nice big Prawns and lots of them so when you book a Multi-Day Marine Tour with us look forward to an unforgettable feed of the freshest seafood available.

The Showerhouse & Lounge |
Showerhouse
Our log Showerhouse has an upstairs lounge that oversees the entire Resort and is a beautiful elevated platform to relax and watch the sunset in the mountains. Ken Sheen a local Chainsaw carver carved two lovely Grizzly Cubs for us last summer which are now mounted on each end of the upright Cedar Logs of the Showerhouse.
Campsites
We have a 5 acre groomed campground amongst the Old Growth Cedars and Creeks that we provide for Campers and Motorhomes. We provide picnic tables, firepits, outhouses and a beautiful view of Mt. Nusatsum and waterfalls. There is a big Fish Pond in the middle of the grounds that is a tributary of Fish Creek and provides Fish Habitat for the Salmon Fry.
There is a marked trail that leaves from the campsite that takes you up the side of the mountain to a beautiful set of Waterfalls and provides quite a nice view of the Valley. Pets are welcome in the campsite and there is plenty of area to walk them. The whole family will enjoy the views from this very private campground.
